If you’re already using our terrific hemorrhoid wipes, then you know the relief they bring. If you feel the need for additional relief, you can incorporate these ointments into your self care routine. Be sure to speak to your doctor before trying any of the following ointments.

Witch Hazel

One of the most common natural ointments for hemorrhoids is witch hazel. It’s best known for its ability to reduce inflammation that may occur after you’ve used the bathroom. In fact, you may be able to find pads soaked with witch hazel at your local drugstore because it’s often used as a method of treating the hemorrhoids by reducing the swelling that may take place.

If you’re unable to find the pads soaked with witch hazel, you can make your own. You’d simply need to purchase a bottle of witch hazel and some cotton rounds. You’d soak the cotton rounds in witch hazel and then wipe with them or place them in your underwear for additional relief. If you’re using the witch hazel on a regular basis, you may be able to treat the hemorrhoid and get rid of it for good.

Chamomile Essential Oil

You may experience the most discomfort when you’re trying to use the bathroom. It’s not uncommon for people to experience swelling of the hemorrhoids after taking a bowel movement. If that’s something you’re experiencing most of the time, consider using a blend of chamomile essential oil to reduce the swelling.

Simply grab a cotton ball or cotton swab and add a few drops of the chamomile essential oil to it. After wiping and rinsing the area to ensure it’s clean, apply the oil on the hemorrhoid. You may soon start to feel relief as the swelling begins to subside.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is another great essential oil to use when trying to treat hemorrhoids because it eases the pain and discomfort while reducing inflammation. It’s often used on acne blemishes to get the swelling to go down, and it works just as good on hemorrhoids. If you’re unable to find chamomile essential oil or if you’d simply prefer to try something else, the tea tree oil is a great option. You’d apply it the same way you’d apply the chamomile essential oil using a cotton swab or cotton ball.

There are a lot of people who end up with hemorrhoids at some point in time. The hemorrhoids may develop due to constipation, weight gain, excessive lifting, and straining. If you’re dealing with hemorrhoids and are tired of the discomfort and swelling, you might want to try some natural ointments that are known to help out big time. Witch hazel, chamomile essential oil, and tea tree oil are just three of the natural ointments worth using if you’d like to reduce swelling and possibly get rid of those hemorrhoids for good.
